LOCATION:

Coral Sands Hotel is located on Harbour Island a small island off the East Coast of North Eleuthera. The island 3 miles by 1/2 mile has become world renowned for its historic center of Dunmore Town, and its Pink Sand Beach which runs the length of its eastern coast. The hotel sits upon a large sand dune overlooking the beach and ocean.

HOTEL DESCRIPTION:

39 rooms, suites and apartments directly on the famous 3-mile long pink sand beach and a short walk to historic Dunmore Town. This hotel features a bar, cafe overlooking the beach, a tennis court for day & night play. The hotel features the Poseidon Restaurant which has both indoor or terrace seating. Breakfast is served from 08:15-10:00am, and dinner is served from 7 - 9pm.
Overlooking the beach and ocean is the Commander's Beach Bar, which serves local specialties from 11:30 - 9:00pm.

ROOM AMENITIES: Located on a bluff  the three guest buildings at Coral Sands have arched breezeways and are surrounded by a tropical garden setting. The buildings offer charming, fully renovated rooms and bathrooms; dramatic views of the Atlantic Ocean, world famous pink sand beach and warm, soothing ocean breezes. There are five different room types. All rooms have dark stained wood floors, new classical colonial-styled furniture, air-conditioning, in-room safe, telephone, hair dryers, luxury linen/towels and quality personal care products and WiFi acess.

ARAWAK BUILDING: Situated on the highest point of the property, the guest rooms are simple, comfortable and are the most economically priced accommodations at Coral Sands. Guest rooms are located on the second floor with commanding views of the pool and beach. Convenient access to the lobby, library, TV/billiards room and Poseidon Restaurant all of which are on the first floor.
The Arawak building has two room types - ocean view and garden view.
Each guest room is light and airy with comfortable furnishings, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, in-room safe, telephone, hair dryers, luxury linen/towels and quality personal care products.

• Garden View Rooms: have access to a common ocean front terrace. Rooms have one queen bed. Sleeps two.
• Ocean view room with private Terrace: has double sliding doors that lead to a large, private terrace where one can greet the sun each morning as it rises above the pink-sand beach and tropical waters. One king or queen bed.

 
CARIB & LUCAYA BUILDING
 

• Garden View room with Shared Patio: offers a view of tropical greenery including a large number and variety of Palm trees. Each room has a queen bed, sofa, coffee table and armoire. Sleeps two.
• Ocean View Room with Balcony: has a double French door that invites you to your private balcony that overlooks the pink sand beach and azure blue waters. The rooms are furnished with a king bed, writing desk, armchair, ottoman and a large walk-in closet. Sleeps two.
• The "Loft" Ocean View Room: sits all by itself on top and centre of the building offering a spectacular view of the beach, ocean & surrounding island. It has a second floor entrance into a small foyer that has a writing desk and a staircase that takes you to the bedroom & bathroom. King bed, sleeps 2.
• 1-Bedroom Deluxe Ocean View Suite with balcony: A deluxe two-room suite. The bedroom features beautiful ocean views, a covered balcony, one king bed, ottoman and writing desk. There is a separate sitting/reading room that has a couch, armchair, coffee table and an armoire with a TV. One bathroom. Sleeps two.
• 1-bedroom Ocean view Master Suite: is a very spacious two-room suite with one bedroom and one bath. The bedroom features one king bed, armchair and ottoman. The separate sitting/living area furnished with a double sleeper sofa, comfortable reading chairs, coffee table and TV, two separate terraces with dramatic ocean views, one terrace off the main living area and one off the private bedroom. Sleeps four, using the sleeper sofa in the living room. WiFi access in room.
• Junior Suite partioal Ocean View: Has a terrace with beautiful partial ocean views. Each has a king bed, a double sleeper sofa and reading chair with ottoman. WiFi access in room and throughout lobby and library areas.

• 1-bderoom Oceanfront Cottage: Step right outside the door and feel the silken sand between your toes and fall asleep to the sound of the surf in your very own private beach hideaway. The one- bedroom ocean front cottage is nestled directly on the beach and features a spacious, elegantly appointed colonial style bedroom, indulgent spa-like designer bathroom and wood decked outdoor covered terrace complete with patio furnishings. • 2-Bedroom Oceanfront Cottage - Sea Oats:  The two-bedroom ocean front beach cottage is the ultimate retreat located directly on the pink sand beach, with two complete colonial style master bedrooms with king bed, 32-inch flat screen LCD TV with built-in DVD, each with their own spacious spa-like designer bathrooms and stylishly appointed living/sitting areas, thoughtfully equipped half kitchen/dining room and spacious covered outside patio with cozy furnishings and outdoor Rain Shower. This is no ordinary day at the beach; it’s home away from home in paradise.
• 2-bedroom Beach House: The Beach House is a spacious ocean front two-bedroom suite situated on the hotel’s most private location. It features direct beach access in an independently housed Bahamian Colonial style building. The suite is comprised of two large master bedrooms with breathtaking ocean views, and an exquisitely appointed living room separating each accommodation. WiFi access throughout the Beach House. Similar luxuriuos interior furnishings as the Sea Oats Cottage.

FACILITIES & SERVICES:

The hotel has a fresh water swimming pool (heated) and lighted Tennis Court and offers complimentary use of sailboats, wind surfers, kayaks, surf riders, snorkelling gear, cabanas and chaise lounges. Additionally boat rental, scuba instructions, car-, bicycle and golf cart rentals can be arranged through the hotel's front desk.

GETTING THERE:

There are direct flights from Nassau and various cities in the U.S. to North Eleuthera Airport. From North Eleuthera guests would need to take a taxi from the Airport Terminal to the 3-Islands Dock. Just ask for Harbour Island. The current fare is $4.00/person each way. From the ferry dock, individual operators will take you over to Harbour Island on their ferries. The fare currently is $4.00/person. From the government dock on Harbour Island to Coral Sands there is another short taxi ride costing $4.00/person.

Another convenient possibility is the Bahamas Fast Ferry that leaves daily from Potter's Cay Dock in Nassau and brings you directly to the government dock in Harbour Island.
