Coral Sands Resort - Harbour Island
39 room hotel on the famous pink sand beach at the edge of 300y old Dunmore town. Facilities include, restaurant with ocean view, snack bar & grill at the beach, fresh water swimming pool, free tennis, complimentary use of sunfish sailboats, kayaks & snorkeling gear, game room with satellite TV, library and games. Boat rental, scuba diving, car, bicycle & golf cart rentals available.
Fernandez Bay Village - Cat Island
A charming family operated resort village of 15 cottages and houses on a long private beach, present themselves to the Traveler who seeks seclusion, romance and nature. The cottages have a garden shower, queen size bed, walk in closet, tea & coffee maker & small refrigerator, tile floors, overhead fans, air-conditioning, sliding glass doors, seaside terrace & tropical gardens. No TV in the cottage.
In room amenities consist of daily supply of coffee and tea, shampoo, cream rinse, body lotion and beach towels. On the beach you will find lounge chairs, beach umbrellas and a float, all provided complimentary by the hotel.
Facilities include a dining room with spectacular view of the calm ocean, Tiki bar (honour bar), souvenire store and library/game room.
Activities: Swimming, shelling, snorkeling, reading, scuba diving (at Hawks Nest), deep sea & bonefishing, paddle tennis, zuma sailboats, kayaks, volleyball, boat, bicycle and car rental.
YOUR APPROXIMATE TRAVEL ITINERARY:
Day 1:
- 12 noon or 4.00pm departure flight from Nassau to North Eleuthera.
- 12.40pm or 4.40pm Arrival in North Eleuthera. Transfer to the Coral Sands hotel. (For Details see below). Check-in to an ocean view room. Take full advantage of the most beautiful pink sand beach and the turquoise atlantic ocean invites you to swim in this warm water. The hotel offers excellent gourmet food, or stroll through town to meet the native people of Harbour Island.
Complimentary: Chaise lounges and towels on the beach and pool, free use of kayaks, snorkelign equipment and Tennis Court.
Day 4:
- 12.30pm Departure from North Eleuthera Airport on Southern Air to Nassau.
- 1.05pm Arrival in Nassau. Connecting at 3.45pm to Cat Island and arriving in Cat Island at 4.15pm. Short transfer to the Fernandez Bay Village. Check-in to a rustic ocean view cottage on the beach, with a unique garden shower. Take in the breath taking view of the tranquil bay on the Caribbean side, while sipping your favorite cocktail. Take the kayak out or get to know the fish in the water by snorkeling above their habitat. Visit Father Jerome's Hermitage, the highest elevation in the Bahamas!
Day 7:
- 9.30am (or 4.00pm) Departure from The Bight Airport, Cat Island to Nassau
- 10.55am (or 5.30pm) Arrival in Nassau.
- You will need 2 1/2 hours to connect to the USA, as you need to clear US Customs and Immigration here in Nassau. 2 hours is sufficient for a flight to Canada or Europe.
Airport Transfers:
The first airport is North Eleuthera. From there you would need to take a short taxi ride to the water taxi, then the water taxi across the harbour to Harbour Island and another short taxi ride to the hotel. Total transfer time approx. 30 minutes at a cost of $15.00 per person payable locally. We suggest to have some single Dollar bills handy for this transfer. Same transfer procedure on the return.
At the second airport, The Bight, Cat Island, take any taxi to the hotel (5 minutes) and the receptionist will pay the driver. The return transfer is arranged by the front desk.
PAYMENT POLICY:
A non-refundable deposit of $100.00 per person is due at time of booking. Full prepayment is due 45 days prior to arrival.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Cancellations received up to 32 days prior to arrival date will result in the forfeiture of your deposit. In addition, cancellations received within 31 daysof arrival or no shows, will result in a cancellation penalty determined by the hotels and airlines at time of cancellation. NOTE:
Depending on room availability, it is possible, that you would first go to Cat Island and then to Harbour Island.
This trip is not avilable during the month of September and October, as the Fernandez Bay Village Hotel is closed.
