YOUR TRIP DETAILS:
Stella Maris Resort - Long Island
47 units scattered throughout a large garden estate, sitting high a top the hilly east coast ridge overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The resort has three large fresh water pools and one 18' deep saltwater pool for Scuba instructions, six beaches (daily free shuttle to the 3-mile long Cape Santa Maria beach), lounge bar, dining room with garden dining terrace (vegetarian/children's and dietary menus available), marina bar, recreation/video room, ping pong, bicycles, small sail boats, kayaks and tennis.
Hawk's Nest Resort - Cat Island
On a 450 acre property, located on the southern tip of Cat Island. You will find 10 comfortable ocean view rooms nestled among palms, casuarina trees and blooming hibiscus.
Amenities: Fresh water swimming pool, Club House, complimentary kayaks & bicycles, snorkeling and scuba center, (PADI certification available) fully equipped regulation size tennis court, deep sea, bone and deep drop fishing, massage and laundry facilities. Dive equipment rental available. The room rate included in our package is for a room with one double bed. For a room with 2 beds an additional $10.00 per night applies.

- Prices subject to change without notice. These prices apply at Hawks Nest per day and Stella Maris per boat trip. All rental fees to be paid at the resort directly.
YOUR APPROXIMATE TRAVEL ITINERARY:
Day 1:
- 1.30pm latest check-in time for a 3.00pm flight to Cat Island on Cat Island Air.
- 3.45pm scheduled arrival at the Bight Airport, Cat Island. Take a taxi to the Hawk's Nest Resort (approx. 30 minutes) at a cost of $60.00, payable locally. Check-in. Familiarise yourself with the property, relax and enjoy your dinner with a view of the ocean.
Day 2:
- You will be taken out on the boat for a two dank dive. The crystal clear water will just amaze you. Dive through the Hole in the Wall to the channel
where you'll find lobsters or even spotted drums. Continue to the shallow area where you often watch stingrays looking for food, reef sharks, barracudas and a variety of groupers. You'll also find all kinds of soft and hard coral.
Day 3:
- Your second two tank dive will take you to some other dive sites such as The Oz, The Playground, The Anchor, the Twilight Zone, the Tartar Bank (for experienced divers only), the Trench, the Jagged Edge, the Rum Reef or the Fish Bowls. The Dive Sights will be determined on the day of the dive, according to weather and see conditions. However, whatever dive site you will visit, you can be sure to see extraordinary clear blue water, colorful coral reefs and an abundance of diverse sea creatures.
Day 4:
- Between midmorning and lunch time you will be picked up by a 6-passenger, twin engine plane operated by Stella Maris Air Services, at Hawk's Nest private airport. You will be informed of the exact flight time the day before departure by the front desk of the Hawks Nest Resort.
- Short 20 minute direct flight to Stella Maris Airport in Long Island. What you have just seen in detail under water, you will now be able to see from a bird's eye view.
- After arrival at Stella Maris Airport, take a taxi to the hotel. Short 5 minute ride (included in our package price). Check-in. Enjoy your new environment this afternoon.
Day 5:
- A two tank dive is planned for you today. Stella Maris offers an incredible variety of diving, from hundreds of coral head and reef sites on the northwest lee side of Long Island to some 15 miles of explored northeast Atlantic locations. The lee is mostly calm with little or no current. The Atlantic shelves and reefs are dramatic, with vast areas of incredible antler and other large-growth coral fields. The water here seems bluer, the fish bigger and underwater scenery wilder. Every dive here provides a feeling of raw adventure and yet, the shore isn't far away.
Day 6:
- Another day of diving will take you to some of these dive sites: Dean's Blue Hole, Conception Island Wall, Stella Maris Shark Reef and a variety of wrecks. Dive Sites will be visitied according to the weather and sea conditions.
Day 7:
- Check-out according to your flight schedule. Short transfer back to Stella Maris Airport included. Should you choose to return on Bahamasair, which leaves from Deadman's Cay Airport, the transfer is not included and would be payable locally at approximately $95.00. Southern Air has a scheduled flight at 8.00am and 4.00pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, or simply use the Stella Maris Air Service flight, which can fly any time, according to your departure time from Nassau. However do not scheduled your connecting flight before 11.00a.m.!
- You will need 2 1/2 hours to connect to the USA, as you have to clear US customs and immigration in Nassau. For all other flights to Canada or Europe a 2 hour connecting time is sufficient.
Additional nights can be booked in any of the two properties.
You should arrive in Nassau by 1.00pm to connect the same day. Otherwise an overnight is recommended. We will be happy to arrange this overnight for you including airport transfers.
PAYMENT POLICY:
A non-refundable deposit of $100.00 per person is due at time of booking. Full prepayment is due 45 days prior to arrival.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Cancellations received up to 32 days prior to arrival date will result in the forfeiture of your deposit. In addition, cancellations received within 31 days of arrival or no shows, will result in a cancellation penalty determined by the hotels and airlines at time of cancellation.
