10 colonial style cottages with 2 queen-size beds, A/C, coffee maker, hair dryer and screened in patio. Use of ocean kayaks and bicycles are free. Activities at cost are diving, snorkeling, reef-, deep sea and bone fishing, car rental, nature tours and island tours.
APPROXIMATE ITINERARY
Day 1:
1.00pm Arrival in Nassau at the latest. If your flight arrives later, we would be happy to arrange an overnight for you in Nassau.
2.30pm connecting flight on Western Air to Congo Town, Andros
2.45pm arrival in Andros and short taxi ride to the ferry dock and then a delightful 15 minute boat ride to Tiamo Resorts, as there are no roads that lead to Tiamo.
Settle in to a beachside bungalow, and enjoy your first sunset hors d'oeuvres and dinner - a culineary Caribbean delight, served by candel light on white linen table cloths. Enjoy the serenity, privacy and beauty offered at Tiamo or go fishing, snorkeling, diving or stroll along the beach with that book you meant to read a long time ago.
Day 4:
6.00am approximately check out and transfer to the airport.
7.30am departure flight on Western Air to Nassau.
7.45am arrival in Nassau. We suggest to take a taxi (5 minutes) to Compass Point for breakfast at their seaside restaurant with offers a great view of the Ocean. (Payable locally).
11.00am latest check-in with Bahamasair in the domestic terminal.
12.30pm departure flight to Deadman's Cay Airport in Long Island.
1.15pm Arrival in Long Island. Taxi transfer to Cape Santa Maria (approx. $90.00 payable locally).
NOTE: A PRIVATE CHARTER ON A 5-PASSENGER TWIN ENGINE PLANE CAN BE ARRANGED TO FLY YOU FROM CONGO TOWN, ANDROS DIRECTLY TO STELLA MARIS AIRPORT, AT AN APPROXIMATE EXTRA COST OF $270.00 PER PERSON.
The airport transfer would then only be $25.00, rather than $90.00.
Settle in to a 1-bedroom beachside bungalow. Enjoy a 3-nights stay, including breakfast, lunch & dinner. The two-mile long beach is an invitation for a stroll, swim in the calm and breath taking ocean. You will never get tired gazing at the colorful water, however you may want to rent a car to discover the rest of Long Island. There are many settlements and the Columbus Monument to be seen. Divers and snorkelers will see a variety of sea life, reefs and corals. Evenings are spent socializing with other guests outdoors (or indoors) listening to the gentle waves rolling in, in the library or fitness center. There is also the TV-room where you can watch the news or sporting event.
Day 7:
Unfortunately you have to awake from your dream, as civilization is calling you back home. Check-out and take a taxi back to the airport. 8.00am or 4.00pm (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sundays only) flight on Southern Air or 2.10pm flight on Bahamasair to Nassau. International flights from Nassau to the US, need 2 1/2 hours connecting time, as you will need to clear US immigration and customs in Nassau. All flight times are subject to change and will be advised at time of booking.
USEFUL INFORMATION:
If you depend on daily medication, please be sure to bring enough in your hand luggage to suffice for the entire stay, as you may not be able to fill any prescriptions in these islands. Banks are also not readily available, so bring enough cash, Traveler's checks and/or a major credit card.
Luggage allowance is 45 lbs per person. Extra luggage will be at additional cost to be paid to the airline.
PAYMENT POLICY:
A non-refundable deposit of $100.00 per person is due at time of booking. Full prepayment is due 45 days prior to arrival.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Cancellations received 32 days prior to arrival date will result in forfeiting your deposit. In addition, cancellations received within 31 days prior to arrival or no shows will result in a cancellation penalty determined by the hotels/airlines at the time of cancellation.
