YOUR TRIP DETAILS:

Stella Maris Resort - Long Island

43 units scattered throughout a large garden estate. The resort has 3 large fresh water swimming pools and an 18'deep saltwater pool for Scuba Instructions, six beaches (daily free shuttle to the 3 mile long Cape Santa Maria beach), lounge bar, dining room with garden dining terrace, Marina bar, recreation/video room, ping pong, bicycles, small sail boats, scuba diving, snorkeling, bone and deep sea fishing, tennis, car and plane rental. Vegetarian, children's and dietary menus available.

Club Peace & Plenty - Exuma

35 rooms located on Elizabeth Harbour in the middle of town. Fishermen Club atmosphere. Restaurant, main bar and pool bar, small fresh water swimming pool, scuba diving, world class Bone Fishing, deep-sea and Reef Fishing. Complimentary ferry boat service twice daily from the hotel dock to Stocking Island Beach Club which provides lunch and bar service, along with sunfish, wind surfers, chaise lounges, snorkeling equipment and white sandy beaches. Rooms have AC, fan, satellite TV, tile floors and bath.

YOUR APPROXIMATE TRAVEL ITINERARY:

Day 1:

  • Arrival in Nassau (by 2.00pm) and connecting flight on a shared charter or commercial airline to Long Island. An extra night or 2 in Nassau can be added to your island experience. We will be happy to arrange this according to your time and budget.
  • 5-Minute taxi transfer to the Stella Maris Resort.

Day 1-4:

  • 3 nights stay in a standard hotel room. Take advantage of the great snorkeling and diving as well as the hilly island with it's many natural beaches. The hotel offers a variety of activities on certain days of the week, including free transfer to three remote beaches. Experience the real Bahamas, swim in the natural ocean pool, attempt to count the millions of stars during the clear and quiet nights. Rent a car for a day to explore the island, chat with the local Long Islanders who have lots of stories to tell or jump into Dean's Blue Hole, natures wonder.

    • Day 4:

    • Transfer back to the airport and shared charter flight (20 minutes) to George Town on the hotels own plane, Stella Maris Air Services. Time to be advised individually by the pilot.
    • After arrival in George Town Exuma, taxi transfer to the Club Peace and Plenty.

    Day 4-7:

    • 3 nights stay in a poolside room.
    • Visit famous Stocking Island on the complimentary ferry (twice-daily) run by the hotel for use of natural beaches, nature trails and non motorized watersports, or try your luck at bonefishing and deep sea fishing. Visit the local bars, restaurants, small shops and the market in Town. (within walking distance)

    Day 7:

    • Transfer back to the airport by taxi.
    • 45 minute flight on Sky Unlimited or Bahamasair back to Nassau, depending on your international connection. You will need 2 1/2 hours to connect in Nassau, as you need to go through US customs and immigration before departing to the US.

    USEFUL INFORMATION:
    Maximum luggage allowance is 45 pounds per person. We suggest you take soft bags, rather than hard suitcases, they fit better into the small planes. Travel light with casual clothing and take sun protection items. If you have to take medication regularly, take a sufficient supply with you as you may not get your specific prescription in these remote islands. There are no or few commercial banks, so take suffcient cash, Traveler's checks and/or a major credit card with you.
    You will receive a personal itinerary with our phone number in Nassau, which you can call during and after office hours in case of problems or emergencies.
    For a complete Bahamas vacation, a 2 or 3-night stay in Nassau/Paradise Island is suggested before or after your Out Island vacation.

    PAYMENT POLICY:
    A non-refundable deposit of $100.00 per person is due at time of booking. Full prepayment is due 60 days prior to arrival.

    CANCELLATION POLICY:
    Cancellations received up to 32 days prior to arrival date will result in forfeiture of your deposit. In addition, cancellations received within 31 days prior to arrival will result in a cancellation penalty determined by the hotels/airlines at the time of cancellation.

    This trip is not available between Sept 01 and November 30/09 as The Club Peace & Plenty will be closed. For the period October 01 - Nov 30 we would be happy to arrange an alternative hotel on Exuma.
