LOCATION:This charming and historical, colonial style 32 room inn is located in George Town Exuma on famous Elizabeth Harbour near the middle of town. The property has a Fishermen Club type atmosphere, and is a favourite local hangout.
HOTEL AMENITIES:The hotel features a restaurant serving local fare such as grits with breakfast as well as dinner favourites including steak or grouper. The property offers two bars. The "Pool Deck" bar is tended by Lerman "Doc" Rolle. Inside is the air-conditioned 'Slave Kitchen' bar tended by Glen Munroe.
MAP (breakfast and dinner) is $ 45.00 per person, per day, children age 6-12y, eating from kid's menu pay $19.00 per day. Prices include service charge and are subject to change without notice. Please advise at time of room reservation, if you would like to include the meal plan.
The property also features a small fresh water swimming pool and offers its guests complimentary ferryboat service twice daily from the hotel dock to beautiful Stocking Island Beach Club where guests can enjoy lunch and bar service. Stocking Island has fantastic beaches, and guests can enjoy numerous other activities such as sunfish, windsurfers and snorkelling equipment from the Beach Club.
Stocking Island:Only about a mile across the calm waters of Elizabeth Harbour from Club Peace & Plenty is Stocking Island, which separates Exuma from the Ocean. Stocking Island features many natural beaches & picturesque settings all easily reachable on foot after a relaxing nature walk. A complimentary ferry will take you to the Island, docking at the Peace & Plenty Beach Club run by Doralee. From the club, it is a short hike to beautiful deserted beaches and a stunning ocean view.
ROOM FACILITIES:The property features 9 Poolside rooms, 14 waterfront deluxe rooms, 3 Bay View Deluxe rooms (one with kitchenette and washer/dryer) and 3 Heritage Suites (large two room suites, 2 bathrooms, living room with sofa bed).
The rooms have A/C, fan, satellite TV, tile floors and bath, and some additionally feature hairdryers and small refrigerators.
HELPFUL HINTS:Twice a week (Friday & Monday) the Club sponsors a cocktail party for their guests. Other nights can include live Calypso music and dancing, Karaoke. The Club is Exuma's gathering place for the townspeople and visitors from all over the island.
Guests can take advantage of a unique Dine around program, which allows guests to have breakfast and dinner in a choice of two restaurants; The Club Peace & Plenty, or the Peace & Plenty Bonefish Lodge.
Children: 11 years and under enjoy free accommodation in the same room as their parents.)
GETTING HERE:Between Bahamasair and Sky Bahamas Airlines there is regular service between Nassau and Georgetown Exuma with up to three times daily, generally around 6.30a.m., 12.00noon and around 4.00p.m.or slightly later in the summer season.
American Airlines offers direct service from Miami International to Georgetown on a daily basis, while US Air offers weekly jet service from its Charlotte hub directly to Georgetown International Airport.
