LOCATION:

The Landing is a gracious, historic property dating back to 1800. Located on Harbour Island, which lies a short distance off the northeast coast of Eleuthera, this boutique hotel overlooks the harbour in the heart of Dunmore Town, an easy five minute stroll to the powder fine, pink sand beach.

HOTEL DESCRIPTION:

This really beautiful Hotel offers seven guest rooms, including a honeymoon suite under the eaves that overlooks the garden and the harbour. These elegantly appointed rooms are decorated in classic plantation style by India Hicks, the granddaughter of Lord Mountbatten, and daughter of famed British designer David Hicks.
Rooms have mahogany stained, four poster beds with crisp white Ralph Lauren linens, and are draped in Indian cotton. The waxed hardwood floors are overlaid with sea-grass matting and decorated with a meticulous attention to detail.

ROOM AMENITIES:

All rooms have private baths and air conditioners and feature free wireless internet connection. Some also have ceiling fans and verandahs, most have harbour views. All rooms are non-smoking. A pool has recently been added for the enjoyment of The Landing's guests.

DINING:

Visit "Toby's Cellar" to make a purchase from his Wine Spectator award winning list or discover his collection of Cuban and other Caribbean rums, and fine spirits.

FACILITIES AND SERVICE:

The library offers a quiet place to relax in a huge cane chair or cozy sofa and read one of the novels or photographic books that line the shelves. In the evening, sit back in one of the Adirondack chairs on the wide verandah and watch the sun set over the harbour. Guests can refresh themselves at the bar and dine in our world-class restaurant, which features a contemporary menu based on seafood and expertly prepared by Chef Ken Gomes.
Toby's Cellar Toby Tyler, Australian native and co-owner of The Landing, brings his experience as a distinguished restaurateur and wine connoisseur in his native country to The Landing. Visit Toby's cellar, carved out of the limestone hill adjacent to the hotel, then choose from his carefully selected list of fine wines and digestifs to accompany your gourmet dinner at The Landing's restaurant.

HOW TO GET THERE:

There are direct flights from Nassau and various cities in the U.S. to North Eleuthera Airport. From North Eleuthera guests would need to take a taxi from the Airport Terminal to the 3-Islands Dock. Just ask for Harbour Island. The current fare is $5.00/person each way. From the ferry dock, individual operators will take you over to Harbour Island on their ferries. The fare currently is $5.00/person. From the government dock on Harbour Island to The Landing there is another short taxi ride costing $2.00/person.

Another convenient possibility is the Bahamas Fast Ferry that leaves daily from Potter's Cay Dock in Nassau and brings you directly to the government dock in Harbour Island.

  • All rates are based on double occupancy
  • Accommodations include full breakfast
  • Rates are subject to 10% gratuity and 6% hotel tax which are included in our rates
  • All reservations require a 3-night deposit. Reservations cancelled within 4 weeks of arrival (exceptions are Christmas/Spring Break/Easter) are subject to our administration fee as listed in the terms & conditions. Cancellations made within penalty period will forfeit the deposit of 3 days.
