LOCATION:

Located on the Southern tip of Cat Island this idyllic paradise awaits you. Rooms are nestled among palms, casuarinas and blooming hibiscus, while hammocks are hung ocean side just waiting for a leisurely swing. To get here clients fly into The Bight Airport, or if chartering privately it is possible to fly into the hotel's private airstrip.

ROOM FEATURES:

Rooms: Nestled among palms, swaying casuarinas and blooming hibiscus, each beachfront room has a breathtaking view of emerald Caribbean waters.
All rooms at Hawk's Nest are newly remodelled and are appointed with air-conditioning, top quality mattress, bedding and linens, Henry Link wicker furniture, TV/VCR, coffee maker and service, and full bath with luxurious terry cloth robes.

The 2-bedroom Point House is a fully appointed air-conditioned house at the edge of the Exuma Sound and Hawk's Nest Creek. The two bedrooms each have their own full bath and luxurious king-size bed. The house has a full kitchen with dining area and a living room with a queen-size pull-out sofa bed. All rooms open with sliding glass doors onto a full-length deck overlooking the Exuma Sound waters and Hawk's Nest Creek.

Amenities: Club House for all your fine dining, three beaches nearby, complimentary kayaks, fully equipped regulation size tennis court, beach volleyball, basketball, deep sea, bone and deep drop fishing, snorkelling and scuba centre, complimentary bicycles and golf cart to travel around the 400 plus acres of Hawks' Nest Resort, Island excursions by boat, massage and laundry facilities. The hotel also features a new fresh water swimming pool.
Dining: Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be enjoyed in the Main Dining Room. The menu items highlight the culinary heritage of the Caribbean infused with some of today's most popular continental dishes. Seafood selections are brought in daily by the recreational sport fishing boats that trawl the waters around Cat Island and all prime cuts of meat and game are flown in daily to insure the highest quality is served to you, the guest.
MAP-Breakfast and Dinner are $57.50 per person, children pay $40.00. FAP-Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is $69.00 per person. Minimum stay 3 nights.
Bar: The Club Bar is the meeting place before dinner to enjoy complimentary appetizers and share conversations about the day. The bar area opens onto the pool patio so a frozen drink is never far away from your chaise lounge.
The new PLANE TO SEA PUB is the perfect place to play a game of pool or darts, have a refreshing tropical drink, and meet new friends. A large veranda encompasses the Pub, which gives guests a perfect vantage point to watch the boats come and go from the marina.

The 28-slip marina at Hawk's Nest is the only marina on Cat Island and it provides sports fishing enthusiasts the ideal anchorage for their yachts. There is also the "Plane to Sea Café" at the marina's edge where guests can grab a bite or a cocktail.

DIVING: "Dive Cat Island" is an extraordinary amenity at Hawk's Nest Resort and Marina. We are a full service PADI Dive operation and have been since 2000. The Dive Shop is only a quarter of a mile south of the clubhouse and the dive sites are a stone's throw away from the shore. We take off around 10 am for a 2-tank dive every day. Hawk's Nest packs a lunch for you to enjoy during your service interval either anchored in the pristine Exuma Sound or making your way to another marine adventure.
1 Tank dive is $60.00 and a 2 tank dive is $80.00 (standard gratuity of 15% not included).

Fishing: Off Shore Charters: Fish with Over Under Adventures aboard Over Under, a custom 54' Bertram for real offshore trawling. Hawk's Nest Resort and Over Under Adventures joined forces in 2003 so that guests can experience the thrill of catching a trophy Blue or White Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, or Dolphin (Mahi Mahi) that abound in the waters around Cat Island. Over Under is chartered for 1/2 and full day charters or can be booked as your private boat for overnight fishing at two neighbouring island destinations. Over Under Adventures has fished and filmed for two shows with Reel Adventures broadcasted on Fox Sports and with George Poveromo of the ESPN 2 network. HELPFUL HINTS:

There are daily scheduled flights into The Bight Cat Island with either Bahamasair or Cat Island Air. Charter service can be arranged directly into Hawk's Nest's private airstrip.
Also Continental Airlines has recently introduced direct flights into The Bight Airport from the U.S. Mainland.Continental Airlines/Gulfstream Airlines

The transfer time to Hawk's Nest from The Bight is approximately 30 minutes.
Children under 12 years stay free in same accommodation as parents with the existing bedding.
Mealplans are available at the resort with special rates for children.
