LOCATION:Emerald Palms is a boutique resort ideally suited for romantic getaways, family holidays or groups - just 40 units in all. Quaint and colorful villas, palm trees, gardens and hammocks dot our Caribbean beach. We offer the seaside comforts you expect: wonderful food, well-appointed accommodations and of course, the requisite pool. Plus something more than you'd hope for: Emerald Palms exudes an offbeat elegance and authentic island vibe that just might redefine what you consider essential in life.
RESORT AMENITIES:
Quaint, colorful villas with views of the ocean and tropical landscape make this a perfect vacation resort for honeymoons, romantic getaways, families and even small groups. Choose between luxury villas or clubhouse rooms.
Two-bedroom villas: are ideal for families. There's lots of room to spread out and plenty of outdoor activities suitable for all ages. For the occasional rainy day, make use of the selection of board games in the lending library. The two-bedroom villas also provide a separate bedroom with two twin beds, which can be put together to create a king bed, as well as side tables, dresser and closet.
All of the luxury villas are free-standing structures boasting their own spacious porches furnished with a table and chairs for four, plus two lounge chairs and side table. Walk through the British colonial shutters and doors to natural marble flooring throughout. Inside there is a king bed, large lush daybed, dresser, large closet, bathrobes, iron and ironing board, table and chairs for four, jetted Jacuzzi for two, a kitchenette equipped with a microwave oven, coffee pot, kettle, two eye stove top, glasses, pots, pans, dishes and cutlery. The dressing area offers a granite double vanity, and the bathrooms contain a generously sized walk in glass and marble shower.
The resort also has 18 clubhouse rooms including 2 beach front, and 22 one and two bedroom villas. Clubhouse rooms are furnished with either one king-sized bed or two double beds, a dresser, night stands, a bistro table and chairs, a cupboard with mini-fridge, alarm clock/radio, bathrobes and coffee pot. The clubhouse bathrooms are equipped with tub/shower and a hairdryer. The Beach Front Clubhouse Rooms are equipped similarly to the standard Clubhouse rooms and are furnished with a king-sized bed and larger refrigerator. But it's the view that gets the ohhs and ahhs. The Clubhouse Rooms are right on the beach.
The Emerald Palms has a full-service restaurant and bar offering three meals daily featuring American, European and Bahamian specialties to appeal to everyone's tastes. Here's a tip: Emerald Palms' traditional Bahamian Guava Duff is a crowd-pleaser and island favorite.
Additionally, guests enjoy complimentary use of the pool, snorkel gear, sea kayaks and bicycles.

ACTIVITIES:
Activities revolve around Nature's generous South Andros bounty. There is boating, fishing bonefishing diving, snorkeling, kayaking, biking or just exploring the island. Located within swimming distance of the world's largest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere. Known as a haven for divers and snorkelers Emerald Palms is also considered a fisherman's delight.
The World Fishing Network, "Facts of Fishing", chose the flats on South Andros for their 2009 series, while highlighting the deep waters off Emerald Palms for their show.
Fishing at Emerald Palms include: Flats fishing for Bonefishing, Reef fishing for Barracuda, Snappers and Wahoo. It also includes Deep sea fishing for Mahi-Mahi, Tuna, Cobia and Wahoo.
Paddle the incredible salt creeks of andros and discover the habitat of sea turtles, spotted eagle rays, bayb sharks, water birds and much more for the nature lover.
Explore the Blue Hole/Terrestrail Tour- not for the faint of heart escape on a two-hour guided hike through the bush, with education on local bush medicine lore and exploration of several inland blue holes.
