For 20 miles north and south of the Inn, there are scores of uninhabited islands and deserted beaches, all waiting to be explored and safely accessible by small boats. We do suggest that you rent a boat for your stay. There are many boat rental companies that are highly recommended. If interested, we can help you find one that suits your needs. Docking for your boat is FREE at the Abaco Inn.
Deep-sea, reef and bone fishing are all excellent. The Abaco Inn can arrange either a half or a full day's bonefishing with Bonefish Dundee, the 1997 and 1999 Abaco Bonefish Champion.
For scuba divers and snorkelers, there are guides who will escort you on diving and snorkelling trips. Froggies Out Island Adventures is based on Elbow Cay. The trips will take you to either Sandy Cay Reef or Fowl Cay Reefs. Both are underwater National Parks. They are teeming with live coral and many fish. Another popular spot is the USS Adirondack, a large navy gunboat that sank off Man O' War Cay during the Civil War.
The hotel offers a free bus ride into Hope Town, the 18th century seafaring, laid back and picturesque village, where you will find boutique type shops and native restaurants.
