LOCATION:

This lovely little property, located on Green Turtle Cay a one-by-three mile island situated about 170 miles due east of Palm Beach, Florida, features 34 rooms and villas overlooking the waters of "White Sound". The settlement of New Plymouth is located on the southern tip of the island. It is a charming New England type village settled by Loyalists some 200 years ago. The township is only a few minutes away by boat or golf cart.

The property features a full-service marina, and the yacht club annually sponsors fishing tournaments and regattas bringing an exodus of boats and visitors to the island providing a particularly lively atmosphere.

ROOM AMENITIES:

Honouring the tradition of old English hospitality, The Green Turtle Club offers personal service and attention to detail that is no longer commonplace. Finely furnished, the air conditioned villas are a marriage of the past blending old world elegance with contemporary comfort. With private decks and patios most guest rooms and villas have a magnificent view overlooking the harbour.

Standard Waterfront Rooms: These waterfront rooms are individually decorated with a tropical decor and equipped with 2 double beds, (no TV), air conditioning, ceiling fans, tea and coffee maker and pine decks for sunbathing. These Rooms are built out over the harbour's edge at Turtle Point. Popular with boating enthusiasts, small boat dockage is available just outside the door.

The Deluxe Club Rooms: Are equipped with television/vcr units, hard wood floors, 2 double or 2 queen beds, hair dryers, tea kettles, tropical paddle fans, and air conditioning. An extensive complimentary video library including children's videos is available. Each room has a private patio with a view of the harbour and are located near the pool, restaurant and front desk.

The Superior Suite Club Rooms: Are larger and have a king or queen bed, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, TV & VCR, refrigerator, hair dryer, tea & coffee makrer and a private deck overlooking the beach and bay.

Villas: Villas are triplexes built out over the harbour at Turtle Point and consist of two deluxe bedrooms and a separate center unit. Villas center units are comprised of a living/dining area with kitchenette and can be rented as a one or two bedroom villa.

RESTAURANT & MEALS:

The club has over the years gained an excellent reputation for the quality of its food. Reservations for dinner are suggested. The menu which changes daily, offers a a multitude of local seafood with a Caribbean flair including lobster, grouper tuna, and mahi mahi whicher are abundant in the waters surrounding Green Turtle Cay. A Vegetarian and Children's Menu is also available, lovingly prepared by Chef Anthony Notarfrancesco.
MAP (Breakfast and Dinner) is $55.00 per person per day, children under 12y pay $29.90 per day. 15% service charge is included. (Prices subject to change without notice).

  • The hotel's office is open from 7.45a.m. To 5.45p.m. (winter), 6.45p.m. (summer)
  • Telephone services are available at the front desk only during regular office hours. After hours there is a pay telephone located in the restroom corridor, and also outside the Chandlery (Batelco Cards only)
  • The front office staff can be contacted for arrangements for all activities, airline reservations, water taxis, facsimile and copying services. Guests who wish to depart before 7.45a.m. should check out the night before through prior arrangements. Please make sure to book your ferry the day before your departure.

The hotel also features a gift shop with a collection of Out Island fashions & jewellery, snacks, toothpaste, film etc., and a lounge area with TV and an exchange library.
The hotel's fresh water pool is 65 feet in length and is located overlooking the harbour, and has lounge chairs and umbrellas for your use. During the high season the pool bar is also open for your convenience.

ACTIVITIES:

The Green Turtle Club has its own small beach & guests can access to two different beaches within about a 10-minute walk: Coco Beach is a shallow, calm area set in a cove surrounded by casuarinas. Ocean Beach is a long stretch of beach on the Atlantic side of the island.

Boat Hire is available through Donny's Boat Rentals, and immediately next door to the club is Brendal's Dive Shop offering Scuba and snorkelling excursions as well as bicycle rentals.
Golf cart hire is a must in order to explore this island, and this can easily be arranged through the hotel's front desk.
Ferries operate regularly between Green Turtle Cay and Treasure Cay offering the guest ample opportunities to play a round of golf on the Treasure Golf Course.

HELPFUL HINTS:

  • Check-in time is 3.00p.m.
  • Check-out time is 11.00a.m.
  • The resort is a full-service marina facility offering dockage, electricity, water, ice, showers and laundry facilities for visiting yachtsmen.
  • The Chandlery: Located near the marina is a combination mini-mart/package goods store. It is open 8.00a.m. - 5.00p.m. 7 days a week.
  • Entertainment: There is live music on the patio during our busy season. Games are available in the lounge. We offer a small selection of video tapes.
  • The minimum stay requirement at this hotel is 3 nights with the exception of Christmas & New Years when a 5 night minimum stay is required!

Guests have the option of flying into Treasure Cay Airport or Marsh Harbour Airport either directly from the U.S. or from Nassau or Freeport. Treasure Cay is the closer of the two airports, however Marsh Harbour (approximately 35-minutes from the Treasure Cay Ferry Dock), offers more flexibility. (Private Charters are another option for groups of around 4 or 5 people). From Treasure Cay Airport there is a short cab ride to the ferry dock, ($3.00/person each way) followed by the roughly 10-20 minute ferry ride to the dock at the Green Turtle Club. The ferry is $8.00/person.
Please note: as with most Out Islands, Treasure Cay does not have airport lighting to facilitate night landings, and therefore an overnight in Nassau may be required if a suitable connection is not available.

Ferry between the hotel + Treasure Cay is approximately $16.00/person roundtrip. The Taxi from Treasure Cay Airport to the ferry $3.00 per person. each way.
