LOCATION:

This small 25-room property is located on 20 acres of property on the famous 3-mile pink sand beach in Harbour Island. Pink Sands has long been recognized as the premier Out Island getaway, and has become a hideaway for many of the world's rich and famous. Pink Sands boasts 21 1-bedroom cottages and 4 2-bedroom cottages each individually decorated in its own unique style.

RESORT FEATURES:

The resort features a fresh water pool, 3 tennis courts (free, one lit for night play), free use of exercise studio, gift shop in the clubhouse, a beach restaurant and bar and library. For cigar lovers, the main bar has a humidor with a variety of fine cigars. For those who just want to spend all day lounging on the beach and frolicking in the ocean, the resort offers complimentary chaise lounges, towels and beach umbrellas, as well as free use of snorkeling equipment and kayaks for your enjoyment. Internet access is available at Guests office and Wireless at the library.

ROOM FEATURES:

All ROOMS have California King Beds, central air-conditioning as well as ceiling fan, large closet, cable TV with VCR (movies available), DVD player, CD player and CD library, mini bar, private outdoor patio with teak furniture, bathrobes, coffee maker, iron and ironing boards, in- room safe, telephone and hairdryer. Nightly turn down service.
The resort features both 1 and 2-bedroom garden view rooms and 1 and 2-bedroom ocean view rooms. Additionally there is one deluxe one-bedroom gardenview that has a private Jacuzzi and drench shower in an enclosed courtyard (additional price applies). The two-bedroom gardenview has a sitting room/lounge separating the bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms and can house 4 people.
The oceanview rooms are privately situated with unobstructed views of the Atlantic Ocean and pink sand beach and have a private pathway to the beach and can accommodated 2 adults. There is a deluxe two-bedroom ocean view that has a private Jacuzzi on the large outside deck overlooking the beach. (Minimum age requirement must be met in order to occupy this room).

WHAT-TO-DO:

Harbour Island is a small 3-1/2 mile by 1/2 mile island, ideal for sightseeing by golf cart. Golf carts are available on the island and can be reserved through the hotel's front desk on a daily or weekly basis. The front desk can also assist in making arrangements for deep sea fishing, bone fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, jet skiing, a sunset cruise, picnics or even a massage.
Of course the main attraction is the beach and the ocean, and relaxing is a main pass time in Harbour Island.

HELPFUL HINTS:

• The hotel serves Caribbean-International fusion cuisine.
• Breakfast and dinner are served in the Garden Restaurant.
• Lunch is served at the Blue Bar, which overlooks the beach and ocean.
• Breakfast is served from 7.30a.m. - 10.30a.m.
• Lunch is served from 11.30a.m. - 4.00p.m.
• Dinner is served from 7.00p.m. - 9.00p.m. Dinner is served à la Carte plus a 4 course pre-set menu (appetizer, soup or salad, entrée and dessert).
• Room service is available at an additional fee.
• Taxi and ferry between North Eleuthera Airport and the hotel is approx. $30.00 round trip per person, to be paid on the spot. Southern Air and Bahamasair service North Eleuthera Airport up to three times daily; charter flights can be arranged at a cost of $450.00 each way from Nassau for a 5-seater plane. There are also direct flights to North Eleuthera from Miami and Fort Lauderdale with Continental and Lynxair. The BoHengy Fast Ferry also services Harbour Island on a daily basis from Nassau.
• Available on property are snorkeling equipment and boogie boards, a fresh water pool, three tennis courts, (one lit for night play), exercise studio, gift shop, beach restaurant and bar, library, and laundry service. Available off property is diving, golf cart -, bicycle and boat rental.

RESTAURANTS: The two restaurants offer diners Caribbean-International cuisine. Breakfast and dinner are served at the Garden Terrace Restaurant, the resort's main dining area in an al fresco setting, where teak furniture and private candlelit corners create the perfect setting for an intimate gourmet dining experience. Breakfast is served in the outdoor garden area. The Blue Bar is located at the beach and is open daily for lunch. The Blue Bar is also a hot spot for cool drinks and attracts many from the beaches of Harbour Island.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT TIMES: Check in time is no sooner than 4.00pm (16.00h). Check out time is not later than 12.00noon on the scheduled date of departure.

Minimum stay throughout the year is 3 nights. Over Christmas and New Years, a 7-night minimum stay is required.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations received within 31 days of arrival, will result in a tree night penalty.  During the Christmas/New Years festive season a 100% penalty applies if cancelled within 60 days or arrival.
