HELPFUL HINTS:
- Guests arriving into Shanna's Cove Resort should book their flights into Arthur's Town Airport (ATC), as this is the northern most airport on Cat Island. Alternatively The Bight Airport (TBI), can be chosen, however, guests should note that the taxi fare to the resort will be significantly higher.
- Taxi fare from Arthur's Town Airport is approximately $30.00 each way and $60.00 each way from The Bight Airport.
- During the day it's best to wear summer or sports clothing. You should also bring light long sleeve clothing for the evenings. Sunglasses are important as well as sun block and hat.
- The restaurants will usually put 15% service charge on your bill
- Bring some US cash and Traveler's checks along with your credit card. Cash is needed for small items such as taxis or souvenirs from local stores. The hotel will accept all major credit cards. US Dollars and Bahamian Dollars are on par.
- Bring a first aid kit, with remedies for diarrhea, mosquito bites, fever and pain killers and any medication that you need to take on a regular basis as you may not be able to get prescription drugs nearby. There is a doctors office and a 24-hour emergency service on the island.
- 110 volts (60Hz), American plug. European guests need an adapter and converter.
