This resort located on the northern tip of Long Island is one of the premier Out Island properties. It is located approximately 25 driving minutes away from Stella Maris Airport.
With 28 rooms set up in colonial style beach front bungalows and Luxury 2-bedroom Villas, Cape Santa Maria is the perfect spot for guests requiring peace and quiet, relaxation, plenty of beach and beautiful surroundings far away from the hectic of everyday life.
The property itself is over 42 acres and features 4 miles of secluded beach. The surrounding bay has a shallow gradually sloping sandy bottom ideal for swimming, canoeing or sailing.

ACCOMMODATION:
BEACHFRONT BUNGALOWS:

Cape Santa Maria Beach Resort features spacious bungalows designed in the classic Bahamian style. Each bungalow boasts a private veranda with breathtaking views of picture-perfect sunsets. Step out onto the boardwalk for a romantic stroll while being caressed by gentle Caribbean trade winds. Flowering bougainvilleas and jasmine trees surround your private bungalow and fill the air with the lush fragrances of the Bahamas.
Accommodations are available in either one- or two-bedroom beach front bungalows, each with two double or queen-sized beds. Two bedroom bungalows feature private side rooms, perfect for additional guests on your Caribbean vacation. Each bungalow is steps away from the water and contains cool Italian marble floors, air conditioning, coffee maker, hair dryer and ceiling fans. A TV room and business centre is available at the resort's Beach House.

NEW 2-BEDROOM VILLAS ON THE BEACH:
1800 sq. foot Villa is fully furnished including two bedroom (most units can sleep up to 8 guests and have 1 king bed and 2 queen beds; one unit has 1 king bed and 1 queen bed). Two full bathrooms, Jacuzzi jetted tub/shower in master, complete kitchen, living room with pull out sofa bed, stereo system, Direct Satellite TV, High speed internet, dining room, washer & dryer, 300 sq.foot private beachfront patio, daily maid service, central air conditioning throughout, full use of the resort facilities. 3-nights minimum stay in the villas. Refundable Security Deposit of $500.00 is required at check-in for these villas.

DINING:

Guests gather to socialize at the Cape Santa Maria Beach House and enjoy their meals and pre-dinner drinks. The full service restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and dinner is located on the second floor of the Beach House, while the bar is located downstairs. Both offer stunning views of the beach, ocean and vivid sunsets.
Culinary delights prepared by our local chefs feature delicious seafood caught earlier in the day. From steak and lobster to grouper to crispy conch fritters, you'll taste the best of Bahamas and Continental cuisine. Fine imported wines and sinfully delicious desserts complement your meal, served with a smile by friendly staff from nearby villages.
MAP (Breakfast and Dinner) is $75.00 per person, per day and $34.00 for children age 2-11y.
FAP (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) is $93.00 per person, per day and $47.00 per child. Meal plan rates include 15% service charge. Please advise at time of room reservation, if you would like to include a meal plan.

ACTIVITIES:

Water-based activities abound in Cape Santa Maria. The Beach House has an activities desk, where you can coordinate your perfect vacation by participating in one of the following:

• Scuba & Snorkel
  Long Island offers a variety of fascinating and unique Dive sites, including shark dives, ship wrecks, and the wall at Conception Island Marine Park - a protected sanctuary that is home to every conceivable underwater plant, mammal and fish.
• If you're a first time diver, the resort can arrange a dive course to help get your feet wet. All scuba diving expeditions at Cape Santa Maria use leading edge equipment, and are led by our expert dive master.
• Snorkelling expeditions are also available at the resort. Glide through the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea and see hundreds of Technicolor fish, rays and sea turtles.
• Fishing
  The waters off Long Island have some of the Bahamas' finest saltwater fishing. A variety of sport fish are caught year round. Whether you wade out to the shallow tidal flats or take a deep sea expedition, the fishing at Cape Santa Maria Beach Resort will make you feel alive!
• Hovering over crystal clear water eight to twenty-four inches deep, you can spend hours casting into schools of Bonefish visible below. You'll be amazed by the scrappy Bonefish - pound for pound the strongest fighting fish in the world!
• For a deep sea adventure, fishing excursions are available with experienced, professional guides. Using ballyhoo, small baitfish and feather hoochies, you'll fish for trophy-sized beauties like White and Blue Marlin, Wahoo, Kingfish, Tuna, Shark, Dorado and Sailfish. Truly an unbelievable fishing experience.

All of our trips include your bait, tackle, and gear - all you need to do is fish!

Beach Activities After lounging on the beach under the warm Caribbean sun, add some excitement with some beach activities. The gentle trade winds are perfect for sailing in a catamaran-style Hobie Cat sailboat. Slice through the turquoise water in an ocean kayak, or play on the beachfront on a boogie board.
On land, explore the rustic beauty of Long Island by bicycle or car. Be sure to visit the Christopher Columbus monument - a stunning site high on the white bluffs of northern Long Island. Nature tours and island excursions can also be arranged at the resort.

Bahamasair operates 1 flight/day from Nassau to Stella Maris. The return flight generally operates with a brief stop in Deadman's Cay. The transfer time to Deadman's Cay, should this airport be chosen as an alternative is approximately 55 minutes each way. (See note below for surcharge). Children under 12 years pay $12.00 per night service charge, in same room as parents. Children 13y and older in same unit as their parents pay $59.00 per night. Airport transfers from Stella Maris Airport are $25.00 for 1-2 persons each way from SML airport. Additional person pays $4.00 each way. If flying into Deadman's Cay Airport the taxi fare is approximately $100.00 each way, whereas flying into Stella Maris works out considerably cheaper with the fare costing approximately $26.00 each way.
